Among the hot-air balloons in the sky over Albuquerque
Every year at Albuquerque, in New Mexico, they hold the world’s biggest hot-air balloon meeting: the “Balloon Fiesta”.The artist Madeleine Gehrig has taken these extraordinary photos from one of the balloons for Bridge Puglia USA.
The festival, which lasts several days, began in 1972 as the main event in the fiftieth birthday celebrations for 770 Kob Radio. Up to 600 balloons can take part and each day there are over 100,000 spectators at the launch sites, not counting the people gathered at the landing zones and all over Albuquerque January 2015
